Computing

I'm a Linux user, I use Ubuntu on my home machines and RedHat on the machines at work. I follow kernel development on LWN and have read a couple of books about but have not yet contributed to it.

I'm interested in Open Source and Open standards, almost everything I use software wise is Open Source.

When I want to program something I generally use PHP, Javascript or Bash. I know some other languages but tend to use them much.

I take a interest in security and I have reported a couple of security holes which were in udev (in RHEL4, Fedora 2 & 3) and phpMyAdmin.

Travel

I started doing independent world travel in 2003 and these are the places I've been (with links to my photos on Flickr)

- Prague in the Czech Republic (long weekend)
- USA east coast [New York, Washington, Boston and Philadelphia] (2 weeks)
2005
- Japan (2 weeks)
2006
- Amsterdam in the Netherlands (long weekend)
- Guatemala and Mexico (5 weeks)
- Guatemala (yes, again) and Honduras (2 weeks).
